Join us at AlHosh Gallery, Doha, on 2 February 2026 at 5:30 PM, for a discussion on African Art: The ARAK Collection, published in 2025, a significant publication exploring the depth, diversity, and critical narratives of contemporary African art within The ARAK Collection
The event will feature a discussion with Edoardo Ghizzoni, Head of Business Development at Skira; Dr. Neelima Jeychandran, Assistant Professor, Department of Art History at Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts in Qatar; Abdul Rahman Saleh AlKhelaifi, Founding Director of The ARAK Collection; and Dr. Thembinkosi Goniwe, Advisory Board Member of The ARAK Collection.
The conversation will reflect on the making of the book, its curatorial and scholarly perspectives, and the broader role of private collections in shaping knowledge production, research, and global dialogues around African art.
